Talking Mandarin Language Centre specializes in Mandarin and Cantonese language services catering to both individuals and corporations.

Teaching Method

There are mainly two mainstream language teaching approaches in existence within the industry. One with emphasize on by-passing the students first language so that student is encouraged to associate the language directly to a situation or an object. Another with emphasize on giving the meaning of each vocabulary or sentences at the first place then through the use of these vocabularies and sentence patterns students will go through the process of translation, and eventually one will condition their brain through exercises to accept the new rules of a language and reach the state of unconscious competent.

Each method has its value and draw backs. While the first approach is excellent in create a faster respond time, it is not suitable to teach advanced tenses and grammars, such as varies types of pass tenses. The later one is very suitable to give the student a good understanding of the grammar but using it on its own will cause the students to form bad habit when using the language.

So in Talking Mandarin Language Centre, we have to use both. From our years of experience, we have created a unique approach to merge these two types of teaching techniques together according to each student's weakness.

We believe students don't need to pay us just to learn how to say "Hello" or "How are you" or even few hundred vocabularies. They pay us for us to teach them how to discuss an issue with their colleagues or even how to argue with someone within six months.
